Hotel is in very central location, really near to main sightseeing places. It is very clean and efficiently run. Staff are professional, courteous, ready to give info but not pushy when it comes to do extra activities. I stayed in a standard room, very small but well equipped. They have deluxe rooms too, I guess they are bigger in size but facilities are exactly the same: air condition, en-suite bathroom, Tv, wireless, safe. Room service was very fast but not much choice. However they have 2 restaurants, one on the roof top (highly recommended for the view) and one at ground level. Breakfast was excellent, wide choice and fresh bread and products.
The cruise they sold me was really not worth the money (dirty ship, no roof on top so we all had to run downstairs due to the strong sun and could not enjoy the best of views, really lousy guide who just pointed a few palaces on the shores....) , but I know erboy itself do not organize outings. Maybe they can try and relay only on Companies that offer best service, so their guests are not dissatisfied.
Helpful, friendly staff at all levels. Room immaculate and very comfortable. Excellent value for money considering it's central location. Many of the main sights are within easy walking distance, and for those that aren't, Gulhane tram stop is 2 minutes away. Overall, I would thoroughly recommended this hotel as a base from which to explore Istanbul. As far as I'm concerned, it was the perfect choice for my purposes in every respect.
Hot breakfast selection could be a little more comprehensive.
The staff was very helpful. On the last night I got sick and needed to see a doctor. They called to a private hospital telling them that I will arrive and paid for the transport ( taxi from hotel - hospital and back ). I really recommend this hotel.
The price was highly reasonable. breafast was good. location was good
The room. the carpet was stinking. very difficult to to stay in the room. the wash room tub was uncomfortable. Also the noises from adjacent washroom were coming. so much so u could hear the nise of teeth brushing. there was no refrigerator in the room. there was no arrangement to shift guest luggage to the room. so much so, on requesting to shift the luugage to the room as we had a baby with us, the receptionist replied very coldly as "we dont have such facility. you have to drag your luggage yourself, ok? I was surprised as I never expect such anser from a hospitality receptionist.the rest was ok.
Our idea was to spend extended weekend in trying to discover the beauties of Istanbul. The choise of the hotel was rendom. And we did not make mistake. The hotel is very beautiful, clean, with excelent kitchen and extraordinary helpful and pleasent stuff. The location of the hotel is in a heart of old Istanbul. Many of things that have to be seen are near in foot distance. We spent three lovely days and nigts and we intend to be your guests again. We suggest to others to use the exelent service of this hotel. Thank you very much for pleasent stay.
The hotel is very comfortable. - reception guys are extremely helpful and polite, speak very good English - bed mattress is very comfortable - not soft one at all - the double room which I had was not too small even for two - breakfast is slightly above from what i would expect from a hotel of this kind. However, there is no variety through time, only bread selection is changed. - the hotel is very good located for a traveller who is more interested in sightseeing - tram T1 stop is just 50m away, most sights are some 5-10-15mn walk away, a good quiet neighbourhood with other hotels and restaurants. However, the hotel has two parts - one facing the pedestrian side street and the other to some medium busy street (not busy at nights). Thus, the rooms facing the street could be a bit noisy through the day and in the morning.
The only really bad thing here is sound isolation. You can hear any sound from your neighbours as if they are in front of you. However, the hotel seems to be more popular among families/older people so night noise was never a problem for me. For winter there is no central heating - you need to use the air-conditioning device instead.
the people there were very freindly, and the breakfast was awsome.
Staff were friendly and informative. Great at forseeing your needs. I have stayed at many places but the staff here would come at the top of the list. I was most impressed. The breakfast was amazing with a huge varity to choose .from. The room was nice and clean and serviced everyday, The location couldnt have been better with plenty of restaurants around, and handy to sites. Thanks to the Erboy for making my stay pleasant.
The location was excellent, beds were very comfortable and the staff was especially helpful.
The room is very clean and nice. And the breakfast restaurant is lovely. Staff are really helpful and provide lots of valuable suggestion to my tour in Istanbul. Good location which only takes 10 mins to Holgia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and Bosporus...I really enjoyed the stay there.
Staff were really helpful and friendly, they organised airport transfers really efficiently and were always happy to help. The room was spotless and comfortable and we had absolutely no reason for any complaint. The rooftop restaurant was a perfect setting overlooking the Bospherous and the Hagha Sofia with good food at a decent price. The location was ideal, within ten minutes walk to all the main sights and the river and two minutes from the tram stop. I definitely recommend it.
The hotel staff is extremely friendly, always available and ready to help the guests. Also, the hotel is situated in a perfect location in the city and it is extremely quick and easy to reach most of the tourist attractions that visitors want to see. We believe that we will re-visit Istanbul, and our choice of hotels is likely to remain the same. Definitely recommend the hotel to future visitors.
We like everything in this hotel, beginning by the staff that is very helpfull and kind. For a city hotel is a very good choice. They help us booking the next part of our trip and having internet and computers free for guests is a very good facility. We recomend this hotel for everyone who visit Istambul.
Start to need a few renewal in their rooms.
fantastic staff really helpful and the restaurant both upstairs and downstairs food amazing
The hotel is right in the center of the old city, at a walking distance from the most important Istanbul sights. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms very tidy and breakfast is more than enough. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely go back anytime.
